Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data J Consult collects through jovanconsult.com and in client work, why, and what rights you have.

We process personal data under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection (Official Gazette of RS No. 87/2018). Where we offer our services to people in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies.
What we collect and why
We collect only what we need for each purpose below. We do not sell personal data or use it for automated decisions about you.
| When | Personal data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| You request the free guide | Email address; record of your consent (date and time) | Send the guide and occasional emails about EU funding | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| You email us | Name, email address, your message and anything you choose to share | Answer your enquiry and prepare an offer | Steps you ask for before a contract; our legitimate interest in replying |
| You book a call | Name, email address, booking-form answers, call time | Schedule and hold the call | Steps you ask for before a contract |
| You become a client | Contact details of your staff; project and team information you provide for a proposal | Deliver the agreed services and invoice them | Our contract with you; legal obligations (accounting and tax) |
The grant fit check on our website runs in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us or stored.
When a client shares team members' details for a proposal (for example CVs), we use them only for that proposal, on the client's instructions and under our confidentiality agreement.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the providers below, who process it for us under contract, and with authorities where the law requires it.
| Provider | What they do for us | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Calendly | Call booking | United States |
| Mailchimp | Sending the free guide and newsletter | United States |
| Gmail (Google) | Our email inbox | United States |
| Hostinger | Hosting jovanconsult.com | European Union |
When you are our client, proposal content is submitted to the funding body and shared with the consortium partners you choose, as part of the service you ask for.
We are based in Serbia. Where data goes to a provider outside Serbia or the EU, such as the United States, we rely on recognised safeguards: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies
Our website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you close the free-guide popup, your browser remembers that for 30 days so it does not appear again; this stays on your device and is not sent to us. If you book a call, Calendly may set its own cookies on its booking page, as described in Calendly's privacy policy.
How long we keep data
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Free guide and newsletter list | Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent |
| Call bookings | 12 months after the call |
| Enquiries that do not lead to work | 2 years after our last contact |
| Client records and invoices | 5 years after the contract ends |
How we protect it
We keep personal data in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication, limit access to people who need it, and sign confidentiality agreements before receiving clients' technical information.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent, for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email
Email jovan@jovanconsult.com. We reply within one month.
Complaints
